YAMUNOTRI
Yamunotri, also Jamnotri, is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is situated at an altitude of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas and located approximately 150 kilometers (93 mi) North of Uttarkashi, the headquarters of the Uttarkashi district in the Garhwal Division of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four sites in India’s Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage.
GANGOTRI
Chota Char Dham Yamunotri Kedarnath Badrinath Gangotri is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is 99 km from Uttarkashi, the main district headquarter. It is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi – the origin of the river Ganges.
GUPTKASHI
Guptakashi, Gupta Kashi or Guptkashi is a fairly large town located at an elevation of 1,319 metres in the Kedar-khanda, in Garhwal Himalayas of Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand, India. It is known for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi.
KEDARNATH
Kedarnath is a town and Nagar Panchayat in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India, known primarily for the Kedarnath Temple. It is approximately 86 kilometres from Rudraprayag, the district headquarter. Kedarnath is the most remote of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites.
BADRINATH
Badrinath is a town and nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. A Hindu holy place, it is one of the four sites in India’s Char Dham pilgrimage and is also part of India’s Chota Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. It gets its name from the Badrinath Temple.
RUDRAPRAYAG
Rudraprayag is a town and a municipality in Rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag.
Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVE HARIDWAR/DEHRADUN-BARKOT/KARSALI
On-arrival in Delhi Airport / Railway station, you will be transferred to Haridwar. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to enjoy Ganga Aarti on the banks of Ganges. Overnight at the hotel in Haridwar.
Day 2 - BARKOT/KHARASLI-YAMUNOTRI-BARKOT/KHARASLI
Today early morning (packed breakfast), drive to Hanumanchatti and Janki Chatti. Here you will begin the first Pahad Yatra of Yamunotri (6 Km trek). You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (On your own). The trek passes through lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs. On arrival by afternoon in Yamunotri take holy dip in Yamuna River and take a darshan. After darshan take the same route to return back to Barkot. Overnight at the hotel/ camp in Barkot.
Day 3 - BARKOT/KHARASLI-UTTARKASHI
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi and is famous for its historical monuments, Temples & Ashrams. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight at the hotel/camp in Uttarkashi.
Day 4 - UTTARKASI-GANGOTRI-UTTARKASI
Today early morning (packed breakfast), drive to Gangotri. Upon arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Visit the Gangotri Temple. The 18th century’s temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. After darshan drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight at the hotel / camp in Uttarkashi.
Day 5 - UTTARAKASI-GUPTKASHI
Today early morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the town. Overnight at the hotel/Camps in Guptkashi.
Day 6 - GUPTKASI-SONPRAYAG-KEDARNATH
Today early morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the town. Overnight at the hotel/Camps in Guptkashi.
Day 7 - KEDARNATH-SONPRAYAG-GUPTKASI
Today early morning after taking bath you will proceed to temple for the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After darshan and puja you will return back to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. Later you will start the return trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. The vehicle will wait for you in Sonprayag Car Parking. Later you will be transferredred to Guptkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel/ Camps. Overnight at the hotel/ Camps in Guptkashi.
Day 8- GUPTKASHI-JOSHIMATH-BADRINATH
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath (Must cross Govind ghat before 5:30 pm). On arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon time is free to relax. In the evening, proceed to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring), take bath and then visit Badrinath Temple for darshan. After taking darshan return back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Badrinath.
Day 9 - BADRINATH-JOSIMATH-RUDRAORAYAG
Today morning after breakfast, proceed to Badrinath local sightseeing visit Mana Village and Bheem Pul. In the afternoon drive back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Rudraprayag is a small pilgrim town on the holy confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the Rudraprayag town. Overnight at the hotel in Rudraprayag.
Day 10 - RUDRAPRAYAG-RISHIKESH-HARIDWAR/DEHRADUN
Today early morning after breakfast, you will drive downhill to Rishikesh a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. On arrival in Rishikesh proceed for Rishikesh sightseeing visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. In the evening drive to Haridwar. After 4pm you will be transferred to Airport/ Railway Station to board your flight/ train back home or to your next destination.
