GANGTOK

The market of this city is filled with handicrafts such as exquisitely woven rugs and blankets that make this town ideal for shopping sprees.
LACHEN
Lachen is a beautiful town in Sikkim that is frequented by travelers for its scenic beauty. It is also the base for those headed to Gurudongmar Lake and Chopta Valley, offering the best treks in Sikkim.

Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVE BAGDOGRA NEW JALPAIGURI-GANGTOK (APPROX.125KMS/4hrs)
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway station you will be transfer to Gangtok. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people travelling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight. On arrival check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2 - GANGTOK-FULL DAY EXCURSION TO CHANGU LAKE & BABA MANDRI
Today morning after breakfast, proceed to full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows of the surrounding mountains legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the colour of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 3 - GANKTOK-LACHEN (APPROX 120 Kms/5hrs)
Today morning after breakfast proceed to Lachen, enroute visit villages and waterfalls. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Lachen.
Day 4 - LACHEN-ECCURSION TO GURUDONGMA LAKE AND CHOPTA VAQLLEY-LACHUNG
Today morning after breakfast proceed for half day excursion to Gurudongma Lake and Chopta Valley. Later drive to Lachung. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Lachung.
Day 5 - LACHUNG-FULL DAY EXCURSION TO YUMTHANGA
Today morning after breakfast proceed for full day excursion to Yumthang Valley & back – The valley of flowers. Flora, Fauna, Rhododendrons and Primulas are found in abundance. Yumthang is the summer grazing grounds of the Yaks. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Lachung.
Day 6 - LACHUNG- GANTOK (APPROX 117 Kms/ 6 hrs)
Today morning after breakfast drive to Gangtok. Arrive Gangtok by late evening. On- arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 7 - DEPART GANGTOK-BAGDOGRA/NEW JALPAIGURI (APPROX 125 Kms/ 4 hrs)
Today morning you will be transfer to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station to board your flight / train back home or to your next destination.
